Be generous with your praises

One of the best ways to nurture your child to become confident children is to praise them.

If you notice your child portraying good manners and behaviour, reward them with compliments. When your child shows frustrations while performing an activity, use encouraging words and phrases such as “Good attempt Fatin” or “Good try my Muhd, but let’s go over this once more.”

When we reward their good behaviour with positive words and praises, we are teaching them to be confident in making good choices, resilient in their efforts and unafraid of failures. Consider rewarding them using a Reward Chart for completing their chores and for showing good habits.
