3 Tips in Practising Steadfastness in Our Daily Lives

In today’s pandemic world and living in new norms, we have to make adjustments to how we carry out our daily activities and adapt to the changes around us. As Muslims, we are encouraged to remain steadfast in all our affairs. Indeed, Allah will not test his servants beyond one’s ability and we have to have faith in that.

Similarly, we should inculcate the same virtue and support our children so that they can perform their duties in school, at home or in the community, with patience, ease and confidence.

Our children are our amanah from Allah SWT. In Islam, parenting that revives the Sunnah is one that is highly encouraged.

In the book by 𝐇𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐥-𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐝𝐢, 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 “𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭”, there are many good examples on how the Prophet SAW raised his young companions from communications to taking care of their emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs. While there may not be a fixed formula to parenting our children, the best gift we can give our children is good education, knowledge and upbringing.

Here are 3 tips from us on how to raise them just like our Prophet SAW has raised the children around him.

𝟭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹.
