At Qissoh, our mission is to nurture a love for reading and the deen by bringing carefully curated Islamic children’s books to families around the world.
Founded by husband-and-wife duo, Faisal Ayub and Rita Rahim, Qissoh was born from a shared passion for meaningful learning and a deep desire to create spaces where families can grow in faith together. At Qissoh, every book becomes a chapter in your family’s unique story – a journey of discovery, connection, and lasting memories.
We source meaningful titles globally, selecting books that are not only engaging and age-appropriate, but also rooted in authentic values and mindful of the diverse cultural contexts within Muslim communities worldwide.
Through these stories, we aim to encourage early literacy, support parents and caregivers in nurturing young hearts, and make learning about Islam a joyful and natural part of a child’s everyday life, wherever they may be.
We are also committed to supporting and showcasing local Muslim authors, with the hope of sharing their voices and stories with a wider global audience.
Ultimately, we strive to make reading a form of gentle da’wah, planting seeds of faith, love, and understanding in every child, one story at a time.
Qissoh was born from the warmth of a mother’s living room, where Mdm Rita Rahim lovingly read bedtime stories to her children. She noticed that many Islamic children’s books felt too formal or distant from a child’s everyday world. With her background in education and passion for child development, emotionally resonant, and rooted in faith — stories that stayed with children long after the last page.
Together with her husband, Mr Faisal Ayub, who brought deep insight from Islamic studies and community work, they built Qissoh into a trusted space for families. From a single bookshelf to thousands of homes, Qissoh continues to grow with the belief that big changes begin with small stories — and that every child deserves a narrative filled with love, warmth, and iman.
